This new 112,000 sf music building serves a wide range of university groups, musical ensembles, and community performance events. It houses rehearsal rooms, practice rooms, classrooms, teaching studios and two spectacular performance spaces. The 1600 concert hall has an innovative fabric ceiling, and extensive reverberation control systems to adjust its decay time. This room is used for university music performance, the Ft Wayne Philharmonic, touring musical groups and a popular lecture series. The 240 seat recital hall serves is part of the music wing, and is completely separated from the adjacent practice rooms and rehearsal spaces. Kirkegaard Associates provided room acoustics, mechanical noise, and AV consulting services.
