Experience

Davin has been employed with Kirkegaard Associates since 2006 as an A/V and IT systems designer.  Prior to, and as a graduate of Purdue University, he taught Electrical and Engineering Computer Technology and Sound Technology.  He assisted in the design of Purdue’s performances of, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and College Widow; and participating in the redesign of Disneyland’s Space Mountain in Los Angeles, CA as an Imagineer. At the 2007 Prague Quadrennial, he worked on Laptop Connections performance which allowed groups throughout the world to share audio and video for a live performance in the Masarykovo Railway Station.  He also has guest lectured at Purdue University, Indiana University, and most recently, United States Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT) on ‘Networking for Theatres’, helping educate students and professionals in the realm of networks and how to combine them with their existing and new theatre audio/video equipment.

Davin’s responsibilities at Kirkegaard Associates involve the design of audio/video systems as well as Information Technology infrastructure design. Some of his current and past projects since joining the firm are Mesirow Financial Corporate Headquarters, Chicago, Illinois, Cyprus Cultural Center, Nicosia, NMH Prentice Women’s Hospital, Chicago, IL, SUNY Geneseo Doty Hall, Geneseo, NY, and Temple Beth Elohim, Wellesley, MA.
