Just months after the completion of an extensive two-year renovation, the Salt Lake Tabernacle builds once more upon its unparalleled reputation – awards.
Bestowed are:
- AIA Utah, Honor Award 2007
- AIA Utah, Peoples Choice 2007
- Intermountain Contractor, Best Renovation/Restoration Project 2007
- Intermountain Contractor, Best Structural Engineering Project 2007
- Excellence in Concrete Award 2008

Working in concert with Church leaders, architectural acoustics firm Kirkegaard Associates (KA); local architects FFKR Architects; Salt Lake City based Rocky Mountain Organ Company; and theatre consultants, Auerbach Pollock Friedlander,held fast to maintaining all for which this historical structure is revered.
Originally built in 1967 and located on Temple Square, the Tabernacle is home to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and is a central symbol for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
