Description
The University of Delaware’s new $42 million Center for the Arts is a superb new facility serving the needs of the Theater and Music Departments. The building includes a 464-seat proscenium theater with pit and full flytower, 250-seat recital hall, large rehearsal room for orchestra, marching band, and performance, and black box studio theater. The visual and acoustic intimacy of the performance spaces are highlighted with the introduction of natural lighting, exceptional sound isolation, and adjustable acoustic elements. Phase two of the project will include a new 800-seat concert hall.
