Built in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, Symphony Center will be a cornerstone of the Woodruff Arts Center's Village of the Arts. Involved with the initial site analysis and evaluation, Kirkegaard has provided programming, room acoustics and mechanical noise control consulting services for this new, state-of-the-art 2,000-seat home and education center for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The unique design concept for the facility will hold a "vineyard" configuration coupled with an adjustable acoustic volume to adjust the reverberation time of the space while maintaining clarity for musicians and audience members.
