To better serve their growing student body, the Center of Creative Arts (COCA) underwent a renovation and expansion. The new building features a state of the art Theatre with orchestra pit while also housing three new Dance Studios to fill the needs of their ever expanding community classes and summer camps. The scope of the renovation of the 1950 Eric Medelsohn B'nai Amoona Synagogue has been created to restore the interior to more closely match the original architecture. Under the high arching roof will be a new flexible Performance Lab with retractable seating for a dance rehearsal and informal presentation/event space. The renovation also transformed the expanded congregation portion of the original sanctuary into two new dance studios. Other features of the project include a new lobby/pre-function space, office, green room and a new scene shop.
