Design of a sound system for this historic church designed by Bertram Goodhue. The church, finished after his death, maintained the fine craftsmanship typical of his buildings. The architectural challenges of adding technology in a sensitive fashion while providing speech reinforcement that sounds both natural and intelligible guided the engagement. The AV system utilizes a precedence source at both the lectern and pulpit with a corresponding delay matrix to the distributed loudspeakers on the columns to provide directional realism for each location. Wireless mike signals are sent to both loudspeakers simultaneously to center the image.
