The Christ Presbyterian Academy Arts Building includes a new 570-seat multipurpose auditorium, an 1800 square foot flexible Blackbox theatre, and ancillary spaces. The auditorium is primarily designed to support amplified theatre and student assemblies while providing a natural acoustic environment that does not detract from unamplified concerts. It features a state of the art sound right-center-left reinforcement system with video projection, fly tower with full theatrical rigging capabilities, in-house mix position, and orchestra pit as of which supports the school's strong musical theatre program. The Blackbox theatre has a catwalk system for rigging, full perimeter drapes, and seating risers to support a variety of seating and performance layouts. Ancillary spaces include offices and conference spaces for the department staff and Headmaster as well as Dressing Rooms, Control Rooms, Green Room, Makeup Room, Scene Shop, and Loading Dock. Kirkegaard provided acoustics and audiovisual services.
