Kirkegaard held responsibility for the recommendation and commissioning of the sound system in this 50 year old, 800-seat church. Two tall niches, on either side of the alter, were found ideal for the new loudspeakers to perform well in this tall, highly reflective, reverberant space. As home to the original speaker system, the even distribution of sound had proved difficult to achieve. The technology of the new loudspeakers offers the combination of directivity and intelligibility for speech based worship and musical performances. Placed behind white grill cloths, the new look is non intrusive and achieves minimal architectural impact.
