Ian focuses on room acoustics, noise and vibration control and their correct application in a multitude of project types. With experience in both the construction industry and academic research, he is able to maintain a rigorous scientific approach with a clear understanding of design pragmatics, cost implications, and related acoustic outcomes. For any given budget, schedule or project scope Ian strives to collaborate with design teams to inform a range of attainable design options that meet well defined subjective user goals.

Outside of work, Ian has spent a lifetime fascinated with all things related to music, science and sound. He can typically be found digging through old bins of LPs, playing his guitar, or creating hobbyist havoc in the basement with his soldering iron.
