The Montgomery Bell Academy new Burkholder Wellness Center features a 1,588-seat Event Center, 21,700 square foot three court Practice Gym, 11,500 square foot Wrestling Gym, and 22,000 square foot Practice Field. The Event Center is designed to function as a sports venue as well as a concert and assembly space. It features both permanent and portable sound reinforcement system with video projection capability along with retractable bleachers, flexible AV connectivity, controlled acoustics, and a pipe and drape system to accommodate the flexibility to set up in center court, half court, and end-stage configurations. The Practice Gym has flexible seating, AV capability, and carefully designed acoustics for all-school banquets and lecture events. Other spaces include an 8,500 square foot fitness room, squash courts, golf simulator rooms, multipurpose meeting rooms, a training room, locker rooms, and offices. Kirkegaard provided acoustics and audiovisual services.
