Parkway North High School is a premier public school located in the western suburbs of St. Louis with a growing music department. The music department was in real need of updated and more acoustically minded rehearsal and practice spaces.

As Phase 1A of a larger renovation that included the entire school, the new construction music wing includes dedicated Choir Rehearsal, Orchestra Rehearsal and Band Rehearsal spaces with gracious ceiling height to provide sufficient acoustic volume for the various ensembles. This was the first new construction addition for the entire school district in decades. The district set out to have the new spaces in the new addition not only being functionally excellent but grand in vision and architecturally stunning. The renovation portion was much more limited on available space but managed to include a small ensemble rehearsal room, four practice rooms and a piano lab. The school district has a strong dedication to the arts in all grade levels such as offering string instruction to all 3rd grade students and daily fine arts instruction at the middle school level. The district actively enrolls their students to participate in district, regional and national events and performances throughout their K-12 education. And the new spaces at the high school level help achieve the Parkway Fine Arts Department mission to ensure its students are artistically literate, capable, creative, and responsible contributors and consumers of the arts.
