The video/teleconferencing/distance learning system in Conference Room G217 is designed to allow for conferencing with, and broadcast of presentations, to any Access Grid System and videoconferencing (H.323 & SIP) equipped remote sites. Used to view surgical procedures taking place at various operating rooms, the room also holds a dual-image display system with flat panel displays; four-robotic pan-tilt zoom cameras; an audio system to provide program feedback; and distributed ceiling loudspeakers for sound reinforcement. From a touch panel at the lectern, an integrated control system is in place which allows presenters to select system presets, signal routing, and control audio volume and cameras.
