The new Glenn Korff School of Music (GKSOM) is located on the corner of Q Street and 10th Street in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. It features 104,000 gross square feet of rehearsal rooms, a performance hall, practice rooms, ensemble rooms, classrooms, and faculty offices. The new building is directly attached to the adjacent existing Westbrook Music Building, tying in the existing facilities with the new.

There are three major rehearsal spaces and a performance hall within the new GKSOM. Rehearsal 1 is dedicated for the UNL Marching Band rehearsals, so the room needed to fit up to 250 performers at once. Rehearsal 3 was designed with percussion ensembles including the steel drum group and marimba groups. Rehearsal 4 supports choral ensembles, such as the Big Red Singers, and a dedicated riser storage room helps for easy load in/out during rehearsals. The Performance Hall is a highly modular, variable room with curtains that can deploy and fully cover all walls behind a decorative wood screen – the Hall features a state-of-the-art moveable LED wall and ambisonics audio system. A dedicated Recording Suite with control room, live room, and two isolation booths supports students and faculty that want to capture video and audio recordings in a professional setting.
